Grief affects everyone differently, but no one should have to face it alone. Across Bromsgrove, Studley, Droitwich and the surrounding area, there are many compassionate community cafés who offer a safe, welcoming space for anyone who has experienced a bereavement, whether recent or long-carries. Each provide its own unique style of support, both all share the same heart: connection, conversation and understanding, and all of course free of charge.

The Droitwich Bereavement Café

The Droitwich Bereavement Café meet on the second Tuesday of each month, 10:00am – 12:00pm at Rotary House. Run by the St Vincent de Paul Society. Trained volunteers offer a gentle, welcoming space with tea, cake, and no pressure to talk. Twice a year, the café offers The Bereavement Journey®—an award‑winning series of films and guided discussions designed to gently support adults who have been bereaved at any time.

St. Andrew’s Methodist Church

St. Andrew’s Methodist Church meet on the third Wednesday each month, 11:00am – 1:00pm, offering a shared meal, companionship and peer support. They run a seven-week Bereavement Journey course three times a year, with small-group discussion, a new theme to look at each week and an optional faith content in the final week. St. Andrew’s Methodist Church have recently introduced dedicated Remembrance Services to celebrate those who we have lost.

Lyypard Hub

The Lyypard Hub hosts its Bereavement Café on the second Friday of each month, 10:30am – 12:00pm, for anyone wanting to talk with others who understand bereavement. They also run a seven-week Bereavement journey course with St. Nicholas Church. The Church holds gentle Remembrance Services for people of any or no faith.
