A Guide to making funeral arrangements

Allow our family to care for your family James Giles & Sons was established by James Giles in 1916. Following James’ early death in 1931, at the age of just 48, his son, Fred, picked up the mantle. Joined by his younger brothers, Bert and Les, the business thrived. Fred’s son, James Frederick, and Bert’s son, Raymond, continued their family tradition by inheriting the business following their late fathers’ retirements. James Frederick and Raymond were later joined by cousins, James Robert, and Adrian. And then, following James Frederick’s retirement in 2006, James Robert became joint partners with Raymond and shortly afterwards, cousin Neil, also joined the family company. After the retirement of Raymond in 2020, over 100 years since the company was first established, James Giles & Sons is now headed by the fourth generation, James Giles. Along with the help of cousins Adrian, Neil and fifth generation members Mark, Kerri, and Damien, the family business continues to grow. Together with the ‘wider’ Giles family, we are committed to providing the very highest levels of service, and have a reputation built on kindness and compassion. A family owned funeral directors
