A Guide to making funeral arrangements

Is there a funeral plan in place? Burial Will you have a church service before the burial? Is there an existing grave to be used? If so, do you have deed of ownership? Is there a headstone on the grave? Cremation Which Crematorium would you prefer? Do you wish to have a service prior to, or following, the cremation? Do you know what you would like to happen to the ashes? In either case Do have your own transport or do you require cars? Where will the cortege leave from? Where will the cortege return to? Do you require floral tributes? Do you require notices in local and/or national newspapers? Clothes or gown? A gown can be provided, or you may wish to bring in clothes (please label clearly). Is there any jewellery that you would like returned to you? What type of service do you require? Religious, Humanist or Civil. Do you require an organist? Would you like your own personal music? (CDs or MP3 files may need to be supplied) Do you require printed Orders of Service? Private Chapels of Rest We have a Chapel that is available for family and friends to visit. In order to allow you precious private time with your loved one, we ask you to make an appointment prior to your visit. 10
